VPN not working , but no error found

im on a windows 7 acer laptop

ive set up my VPN with the windows 7 guide , everything seems to be perfect , i even tried turning off my firewall but it still doesnt connect .

ive had problems connecting with 32bit programs with windows 7 , could this be the same problem ?

when i bought the computer i had norton and mcafee on it , which i both uninstalled and then ran the remover tool to make sure they were really removed .

so i really dont know what the problem would be .

edit : actually it says Error 807 , just never looked before .

Error 807 is a typical PPTP error when the ISP or your home network isn't supporting GRE traffic - If it's the ISP you can do much about it but to switch protocol to L2TP
