Default PureVPN & ZyWall USG 20

Hi, I'm trying to get my ZyWall USG 20 configured to connect to one of the UK servers but having no luck - it's looks like it should work (I've connected to the server i'm trying to configure through win7 and am coppying the encryption type etc) -- the only thing sticking out is that it doesn't support CHAP auth (only MD5 or SHA1) -- anyone know if i'm fat fingering it or if i shoudl give up?

This is the router/firewall model (add the bit in front)us.zyxel.com/Products/details.aspx?PC1IndexFlag=20040908175941&CategoryG roupNo=F5C2FDD7-B829-4990-9DA7-11E3E6B3A2EE[/url]

My goal here is to have transparent routing through PureVPN from my network for specific servers in the UK (from the US) and everything else just route locally.

    Thanks! Rich.

    Hi Rriley,

We had many similar queries in past regarding specific routers and thus far we have formalize DD-WRT as a standard supported router firmware. It was quite difficult, nearly impossible, to provide support for the every different firmware available on the market. May I advise you to get a router that is DD-WRT supported:
    http://www.dd-wrt.com/site/support/router-database

    Following our guide here:
    http://www.purevpn.com/vpn-service/router-vpn.php

Let me know if this makes sense,

    Kind Regards,

Thanks for the reply, what would be really useful is if you could post the technical configuration of each of your VPN servers (as from my testing they look to be different, for e.g. it looks like uk2 uses AES128 and UK7 uses 3DES) - i'm pretty sure I can configure my hardware as long as i know how your's is configured (or at least i'll know to give up). I don't want to buy another router and don't want step by step instructions for mine :-)

    Thanks! Rich.

    Hi rriley,

Yes that's right. There are 2 different configurations on 2 "sets" of servers. Reason behind such a system is to serve a wider specturm of VPN application and purposes. I would request you open a ticket here http://billing.purevpn.com/submittic...tep=2&deptid=1 so we can go more specific.

    Kind Regards,
