Default Nebie question on setting up a VPN on your router

    Hi All

I tried to look around and had questions regarding why you would set up a VPN on your router?

Can someone tell me the advantages of doing this?
Can you run multiple devices at once?
Do you always connect using the VPN or can you decide when you want to do it?

Some newbie explanation would be greaat

    Thanks

    Dear Advocate,

There are many advantages of putting VPN on router. E.g it sets you free from connecting hassle as it could remain always-connected. Also if you setup VPN on router all your network traffic let it be any device that takes internet from router will get the VPN IP. You can ofcourse run multiple devices.

If you will want you will be able to manually disconnect VPN but by-default whenever it will boot up it will dial the VPN server.

    Hi again Advocate,

Its' pretty simply - Just open up the router administration page and either comment out (place # in front of commands) or disable the "PPTP Client"

I am referring to this again:

    I hope that helps,
