Why is PureVPN so inefficient!?

Just wondering why PureVPN does not automatically update your account once you have paid via credit card - its an near instantaneous payment. I'm not a new customer, i've simply just added more time to my account and paid for it via credit card. Now as with previous times i've added credit, and like when i first signed up it PureVPN has to 'review my payment'.

I'm not a new customer so what is there to review? Why can't the money be simply put straight away onto my account so i can use the VPN and not have to wait around for sometime to click yes - paid?

Seems very inefficient for previous customers....

First of all we sincerely apologize for this inconvenience caused however there is a reason why we believe this a vital step to ensure 100% network uptime and connectivity to all our valued customers.

If you move around and take a look at some of even popular VPN websites that had automated the process from payment to account creation have seen major downtimes. Now you may ask what I mean "downtime" and why? Let me explain.

We all know that atleast 70% of us use to store our financial and personal details in our email addresses that we assume 100% safe - Right? Now take a look at here : http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/8291268.stm

And not alone the email address, but the credit cards and personal information as well:

So this means all orders has to be put through a human attended review, otherwise if scammers and fraudsters start accessing the system it is sure the Datacenters around world would start shutting our nodes with them - ultimate downtime for the genuine customers

There was another option for us to store information and auto-charge credit cards to make it even more "advanced" but for obvious reasons we simply cannot do it too.

We do understand there is a minor delay but the goodness it brings, at least we hope, is far favorable and guanrantees

Which all sounds fair enough, where did you get that 'We all know that atleast 70%' statistic from... or what is just assumed?

You could at least spare the people who's contact details ie their full name and payment method don't change everytime they pay more money because you're just checking their same details everytime over and over...

Just a thought, i would think the long delay, and in my case the other day over 10 hour wait would be of some annoyance to other users...

Me too, don't understand why it needs manual approve. If you don't trust your customer you better ask for cash. That's not the way doing e-business. Think about that.

Dear Ayuinca,

I understand your frustration but with anonymity tools getting increasingly popular and consequently failing e-payment checks we have no choice but to make sure the one who is paying is really the one and not some hacker sitting in Africa or elsewhere spoofing and compromising someone's else identity.

My apologies and we are working hard trying to reduce our checking time from MAX 8 hours to 4 hours or less.

I just signed on for the first time and paid instantly and am now waiting for Pure VPN to "review my payment". The whole point of paying instantly was to gain access instantly. After hitting refresh on my email inbox every 30secs waiting for the authorization email I now read it could take 4-8hrs before I have access. While I am all for internet security there are too many providers available to have to wait this long. I can one click Amazon and begin downloading a film before my finger leaves the button. If nothing else you should at least make it known on your order page that service may not begin for up to 8hrs so that consumers can make and informed decision about moving forward. At this point it is unlikely I would continue to use the service past the trial period.

While I do agree that they should maybe display somewhere that you will not be up and running simultaneously, once you are setup it is a great service and a good buy. I also understand why it is done. I set up my operating system with the tutorial provided and was up and running the next morning. So far it has been flawless and I am getting exactly what I am paying for. I am very pleased with the service. Patience is what is needed sometimes.
