Blocked Acces to TvCatchup.com

I have a shared IP and it seems like tvcatchup.com has blocked these addresses. The page remains blank. Their website alludes to them blocking proxies and vpn connections. Is this true or is there a way around it?

There is nothing to worry about - Our addresses aren't blocked at all :)

The way round TvCatchUp is Dedicated IPs. We never recommend a Shared IP for the purpose since a shared IP is more like an open proxy which is sure to get blocked.

Sadly, TVC blocked even dedicated VPNs this time. Do you have any comforting words? :o

Zattoo and iplayer are still on, but tvc is far better.

It's not the IPs that were blocked rather the ISP that got blocked. We have been on multiple ISPs but seems like most of the ISPs are now blocked for VPN's.

We are waiting for dust to settle and surely will have a clearer picture in a few days

UK TV online still works but just TVC will not work. You should be able to stream all other UK TV resources without any issues. So your subscription is worth alot, trust me :-)

So I'm going to sign up for a trial service later today and really hope it works out as it'd be great to use iplayer etc.

But due to the time difference between California and the UK we may not be available during evening prime time in the UK :-)

Is there a service similar to tvcatchup which still works, basically time shifting content ?

Ideally there'd be a 'plug-in' for Win 7 Media center such that we could schedule recordings of BBC content.

Any ideas ?

I still keep geeting a message saying

"Your ISP (Rapid Switch Ltd.) is not compatable with TVCatchup.

When will this be resoved and why is RSL blocked?

We apologize for this inconvenience.

However the TVC has blocked ALL VPN IPs for ALL providers. It's not only RSL.

I am afraid it will not work anymore for TVC.
