Hi,
Unfortunately, running a small business from my home means that my ISP insists I have a static IP address. No big deal in most cases, but a quick 'whois' on my IP brings up my name and address!
Again, this is not a big deal when general surfing, but I like to check out my competitors on a daily basis and if they see my IP keep coming up in their log files - you see my problem.
PureVPN:
> Signing up was easy, paid by card and received my welcome e-mail with my user/pass within 15 minutes. Used the 'Live chat' on the web site to ask a few technical questions and these were greeted with friendly responses.
> Connecting to the VPN service is slightly different then some of the other providers out there. You need to go into more advanced settings in the connection settings but there is a step-by-step guide.
> I have used many providers in the past (the more known ones) and they work fine, but the speed is disappointing. Especially when connecting to US sites. PureVPN was impressive both on their UK and US server.
Speed Results (from my home dsl connection)
US Server:

Although the server appears to be based on the Western side of the US, I still managed to watch HD streaming on CBS and NBC.
UK Server:

Very, very fast with no loss from my original connection speed. I have never experienced 10MB from a VPN before, let alone 17MB.
All in all, I highly recommend PureVPN both on price and speed.
Thanks, Tom.
